Anjanette levert

Anjanette Levert is a multi-talented professional with a diverse background in the world of documentary filmmaking, production, curation, podcasting, coaching, and teaching. Currently, she serves as the Director of Spelman College's Documentary Filmmaking Program, where she shares her expertise and passion for the craft with aspiring filmmakers. In recognition of her outstanding teaching abilities, Anjanette was honored with the prestigious Presidential Teaching Award in 2022.

Anjanette's commitment to continuous growth and development is evident in her participation in esteemed programs and labs within the film industry. She was selected as a member of the 2022 Sundance Producers Intensive Lab, a highly competitive program that nurtures and supports emerging producers. Additionally, Anjanette is an alumnus of the Southern Producers Lab organized by the New Orleans Film Society.

As a producer, Anjanette has been involved in notable projects, including the recently completed documentary film, The Only Doctor directed by Matthew Hashiguchi. This compelling film made its World Premiere in April at the prestigious 2023 Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada, solidifying its recognition on an international stage. It also received a Special Jury Award in the Georgia Film Category at the 2023 Atlanta Film Festival.
