Business Basics for Creatives, Pt. 3: Intellectual Property 101

  • Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge 644 North Highland Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

ASIFA-South and MORIN Entertainment Law present Business Basics for Creatives, Pt. 3: Intellectual Property 101.

Every creative enterprise begins with the Business Basics. Creative freelancers, whether they are artists, animators, filmmakers, photographers, writers, or graphic designers, all face the same problem - how do I make a living while also protecting my work?

Intellectual Property (IP) is the heart of creative enterprise. Part 3 of this series will provide an overview of copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and patents. Audience members will be able to distinguish between these types of IP, where each arises, and how to protect it.

We will also have on hand a special guest freelancer, who can speak from experience to the issues we will present. Audience members will have the benefit of a lengthy Q&A session with an experienced entertainment lawyer and freelance creative.

Please note that any information shared does not constitute legal advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship.
