ASIFA-South and MORIN Entertainment Law present Business Basics for Creatives, Pt. 4: Creative Collaborations.
Every creative enterprise begins with the Business Basics. Creative freelancers, whether they are artists, animators, filmmakers, photographers, writers, or graphic designers, all face the same problem - how do I make a living while also protecting my work?
Business savvy creatives are successful because they know how to collaborate effectively to achieve commercial success. Part 4 of this series will explore creative collaborations: joint authorships, licensing pre-existing works or comissioning new works, and joint ventures.
We will also have on hand a special guest freelancer, who can speak from experience to the issues we will present. Audience members will have the benefit of a lengthy Q&A session with an experienced entertainment lawyer and freelance creative.
