Thanks to the increased affordability of editing software and a wide array of online tutorials, digital editing is more accessible than ever before. However, proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, or Final Cut Pro is not what distinguishes a professional edit from an amateur one; it is how these tools are employed that produces a truly polished final cut.

In this two-day course, you will learn how to break a script down for post-production, how to make the decisions in pre-production that will generate the most creative options in your edit, how to correctly master your final cut, post-production tips for increasing your project’s chances with film festival programmers, and much more.

Whether you’re an editor, post-production artist, producer or director, the methods demonstrated in this course, will provide you with the skills to maximize your budget, get the most out of your footage and make the best possible version of your film.

*For this workshop, we encourage attendees to bring a laptop. There will be a one-hour lunch break on Sunday, but lunch will NOT be provided.
