Michael Lucker's Screenwriter School
DATES: 5/15/21 - 6/19/21
TIME: 12:00PM - 2:00 PM
LOCATION: Online
Attendees from the Atlanta Film Festival may recognize Michael Lucker as one of the mentors of the Screenwriter's Retreat, where three winners from the ATLFF Screenplay Competition spent three days at Serenbe, polishing their scripts with screenwriting experts. A one-time assistant to Steven Spielberg, Lucker has written more than twenty feature screenplays for studios such as Paramount, Disney, DreamWorks, Fox, and Universal (including "Vampire in Brooklyn," "Home on the Range," and the Academy Award-nominated "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron").
Michael Lucker has packed nearly every nut and bolt of the screenwriting craft into an engaging and entertaining six week seminar that teaches you what you need to know to bring your story to life. You’ll learn the tricks of the trade for creating great concepts, characters, plots, scenes, description, dialogue, and transitions, and leave the course confident to face the blank page on your own. Each Saturday for two hours you will join other writers of all kinds from across the globe for compelling lecture and lively discussion on Zoom. Michael makes the writing process practical, easy and enjoyable assigning movies to view on your own during the week as reference to points discussed in the workshop. Now learning to write movies from your own home has never been easier.
