INTRO TO FILM BUSINESS - 101

Film Business 101 covers the basics - the different stages of production, on-set terminology and protocol, and crew positions, definitions, and hierarchy. Linda provides a solid foundational overview of the film and television industry, including commercials, industrials, and music videos, to help you determine the best fit for your life experience and skill set.

GETTING STARTED IN THE INDUSTRY - 102

Getting Started in the Industry covers entry level crew positions in all departments, paths to different careers, resources available to filmmakers, and how to transition from another industry. Linda discusses how and where to find work, and what you need in your tool kit to succeed - mentally, physically, and literally.

CRAFTING A PROPER FILM CREW RESUME - 103

TIME: 4:30PM - 7:30PM
PRICE: $50 NON MEMBERS | $40 ATLFS MEMBERS

Crafting a Proper Film Crew Resume, whether you have years of experience or are just starting out without any credits, can and will improve your hiring chances. This course is filled with tips to give you a leg up over the competition. Linda shows you different templates for different levels of experience, how to turn your work history into related experience, and what to avoid when creating a resume for the film business. It seems really simple, but there are lots of ways to make it difficult for someone to hire you.

DEKALB FILM SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Are you a DeKalb County resident? If so, you may be eligible for a scholarship provided by the DeKalb Entertainment Commission.

To qualify, submit a copy of your Driver's License showing your DeKalb County residency (OR current mortgage statement OR current rental contract) AND a current utility OR phone bill showing that address and your name.
