Are you looking to improve your ability to create moving and impactful visual sentences? Are you a director who wants to refine your shot choices, nail those camera angles, and make sure that every shot is motivated? If so, Shot by Shot Take 2: The Camera Sketch/Pre-Visualization is the course for you.

In this hands-on class, you will learn how to pre-visualize a scene and translate storyboards/shot lists into a cinematically engaging, visually compelling series of shots that engage the viewer. You will be able to bring storyboards for a 2-3 minute scene to class, either from your script or a published screenplay, which the Instructor will approve before the course starts.

Each shot is like a word or a note, and it must be perfectly formed and timed just right to create a lyrical visual story. With this course, you will have an incredible opportunity to test your shots before being on set, by seeing your shots on the monitor and receiving feedback. Your sequence will manipulate audiences in that visceral, impactful way that only great directors can do.

To register for this course, you must have taken Shot by Shot: Directing Workshop or have received approval from the Instructor. If you missed Shot by Shot: Directing Workshop, you can register for the online version HERE
