We’re excited to invite you to a very special screening of FAMILY TREE on behalf of Keeping Forests, an innovative Atlanta-based organization dedicated to preserving Southern forests.
FAMILY TREE explores sustainable forestry in North Carolina through the stories of two Black families fighting to preserve their land and legacy. Despite setbacks, they work to create sustainable land to pass on to the next generation. This powerful film premiered earlier this year at the 2024 Atlanta Film Festival and has played at festivals across the US to rave reviews.
Following the screening, Keeping Forests Executive Director Laura Calandrella will lead a Q&A which will include the film’s director Jennifer MacArthur and members of the families featured in the movie.
