Ruckus & Lane Skye
Ruckus & Lane Skye are the husband/wife writing and directing team behind the Appalachian thriller The Devil To Pay starring Danielle Deadwyler (Till, The Harder They Fall). It premiered at the 2019 Atlanta Film Festival and took home the Georgia Film Award. It received a 10/10 review from Film Threat, who called it "brilliantly crafted" and is now streaming on Netflix.
Having spent the last ten years as professional screenwriters, they also wrote the home-invasion thriller Becky starring Kevin James, Joel McHale, and Lulu Wilson, which opened at #1 at the domestic box office and was an official selection of Tribeca 2020.
They also wrote the contained jail-house thriller Rattle the Cage, which was purchased by Image Nation and became the first genre film produced in the UAE. It premiered at Fantastic Fest 2015, where Variety called it "A world-class neonoir thriller."
Other screenwriting adventures include adapting a post-apocalyptic novel for producer Peter Safran (The Conjuring, The Suicide Squad), writing on an animated series adapting a grindhouse comic book for FX, and adapting an Arabic language supernatural YA novel considered "The Twilight of the Middle East."
