This workshop series is part of the Atlanta Film Society's year-round slate of programming curated and presented to our Atlanta audience in service of our mission: to lead the community in creative and cultural discovery through the moving image.

INTRO TO THE FILM BUSINESS

9:00AM-12:00PM, $60 General Admission, $50 for ATLFS and GPP Members

This class walks you through the basic duties, responsibilities, and hierarchy of each department working on a film set, introduces you to basic production lingo, and offers advise on how your past work experience, hobbies, or natural abilities may be a transitioning entry point. Long hours, a strong work ethic, and a good attitude are needed to survive as a freelancer, and this class can help you determine whether you have the ability, talent, and discipline to more forward with a career in this industry.
