The Atlanta Film Society has teamed up with the DeKalb Entertainment Commission to offer DeKalb County residents scholarships to the Producer Series. Qualified individuals receive $50 off standard price per class.

Concerned about the lack of local above the line training and content creation development, in 2013 Linda Burns launched a free monthly workshop called The D-Girl Project. Named to honor Hollywood's D-Girls or Development Girls, the D-Girl was an entry level position and responsible for reading screenplay submissions, identifying worthy ones, offering coverage, and pitching the scripts up the food chain for possible production.
