ATLFS Filmmaker-in-Residence Brantly Jackson Watts Joins the Team at SCADFILM
Atlanta Film Society Filmmaker-in-Residence Brantly Jackson Watts is SCADFILM's new Industry and Community Outreach Manager. Inaugurated in 2014, Brantly is currently serving the third year in her ATLFS residency.
A writer, director and producer, Brantly operates Half Pint Productions, LLC with Jon Watts, her husband and fellow ATLFS Filmmaker-in-Residence. In 2012, the duo premiered their highly anticipated documentary feature, "AKA Blondie," at the Atlanta Film Festival. In 2014, they launched Homespun Series, a collection of short character-driven documentary films focused on Atlanta’s underground cultural backdrop. Since "AKA Blondie," Brantly has directed one documentary short ("Golden Child"), one narrative short ("Birthday Cake") and is in pre-production on a new project. Additionally, she serves on the board for New Mavericks and is an active member in the Atlanta chapter of Film Fatales.
