The Generally Local, Mostly Independent Film Series is an ongoing partnership between WonderRoot, the Atlanta Film Society, and the Plaza Theatre Foundation. We host quarterly screenings and regularly bring in guest jurors to select the most promising films of the evening. The series seeks to support emerging filmmakers in getting their work festival-ready. Winning filmmakers receive funding to submit their work to other local and national film festivals, along with VIP access to the annual Atlanta Film Festival.
The Generally Local, Mostly Independent Film Series provides a high-quality venue for local filmmakers to screen their work and helps to cultivate a thriving independent filmmaking scene in Atlanta.
