The Atlanta Film Society Announces Its Film Lineup For The Fall Locals Only: Not For The Faint Of Heart Screening
ATLANTA, GA (October 10th, 2023) — The Atlanta Film Society (ATLFS) is pleased to announce the lineup of films for the fall edition of its ongoing screening series Locals Only: Not for the Faint of Heart. The eight films selected come from over 40 entries. They highlight October’s theme of locally produced short films under the thriller, horror, suspense, or mystery genres.
Atlanta Film Society and The Plaza Theatre Reveal 2021 Sundance Film Festival Program Selections Debuting in Atlanta
ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Film Society (ATLFS) and The Plaza Theatre, in partnership with the nonprofit Sundance Institute, are pleased to share 11 films that will be presented in Atlanta as part of the Satellite Screens initiative for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, January 28 – February 3, 2021. All 11 films will be making their world premieres at Sundance.
2021 Sundance Film Festival Will Meet Audiences Where They Are
PARK CITY, UTAH — The nonprofit Sundance Institute today unveiled plans for the seven-day 2021 Sundance Film Festival, offered digitally via a custom-designed online platform (festival.sundance.org) alongside drive-ins, independent arthouses, and a network of local community partnerships. The online expression of the Sundance Film Festival will provide global access for storytellers and audiences alike to come together, experience artists new work, connect with one another, and participate in conversation.

Atlanta, along with many other cities and countries around the world, is being affected by the virus COVID-19. Georgia’s film sector has been put on hold which is negatively affecting thousands of businesses that support the industry.
