WonderRoot, Atlanta’s premier nonprofit arts and service organization, will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its annual film series on Friday, December 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. An independent film series traditionally held at Plaza Theatre, the “Best Of” fifth anniversary screening will be at the High Museum’s prestigious Hill Auditorium featuring the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment as guest juror.
Screening over 100 short films to date, WonderRoot’s Generally Local, Mostly Independent Film Series kicked off the Atlanta Film Festival the past two years, the newly-branded Atlanta Film Society’s flagship event. As the film industry continues to flourish in Atlanta and the state of Georgia, WonderRoot stays true to its mission of uniting artists and community to inspire positive social change by continually responding with screening opportunities for both aspiring and accomplished filmmakers.
