Ready. Set. Action? Delving into a fictional world or character takes such heart, time and bravery. In this Character Breakdown and Journey of a Scene class, we will take a voyage into the unknown all while searching for the answers we all seek - Who are you as a creative and how are you putting work out there that will change the world? Do you really know your characters? The scene? Their story? Have you walked in their shoes? Eaten where they have eaten? Cried where they have cried? Experiencing art is about experiencing life and vice versa.
Open to actors and directors, this class will push you to look at art in a different way - in how you’re consuming it and how you’re creating it. In this class you will learn:
Scene breakdown
Deep Character study and breakdown
Working with Talent
Working with Directors
The Relationship between Directors and Talent
Creating a safe space to allow for authentic performances
Elevating performances and each other
Discovering your heartbeat as an artist
The final class will culminate in a workshopped performance critiqued by a panel of industry professionals. This workshop is an interactive, fun virtual experience that will push and develop your creative voice and allow you to discover all that you can be in a safe curative space. This workshop was developed to help YOU discover YOU.
