First New Mavericks Film Festival Opens Submissions

What began as a New Mavericks Film Series in 2015 has expanded to become the first New Mavericks Film Festival (NMFF). In partnership with SCADFilm, ATLFS will present a three-day showcase of female-directed shorts, features, workshops and panels in November 2016.

We are currently accepting submissions for a short film block showcasing the talents of Southeastern female filmmakers. All shorts must be 1-20 minutes in length and must be directed by a female filmmaker based in one of the following states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, or West Virginia.

Narrative, documentary, experimental, music videos and animation films are accepted. Films featuring strong female leads are preferred! The submission deadline is Friday, October 7th.
